I went to Gigrin yesterday, (Sunday) there was snow on the ground and a heavy snow shower. I observed the following tagged kites; they were all of Welsh origin.

Dee Doody and I were watching today and it appears to be the Black Kite that winds up the crows and it's their alarms that then seem to kites are wary of landing in trees.
